The Cutting Edge of Tradition 

Stephens Waring and White is a vibrant yacht design firm solidly grounded in its commitment to the beauty of traditional yacht style and proportion, and constantly reaching to combine that beauty with top-notch performance.  We have become known for our “Spririt of Tradition” sailing yachts– we were designing in this genre before the genre had a name.   However, we are also quite enthusiastic about powerboats– especially in designing for the new market of low-impact fuel-efficient power yachts. 

High on our list of the attributes of “high performance” is cost-effectiveness: we are always searching for the least expensive way to solve a problem.  This is the primary reason that many of our custom yachts have been designed for modern wood/composite construction; it offers the best bang for the buck. 

Our goal is to combine traditional standards and modern vision to achieve elegance, high performance, and value…design that displays exceptional distinction.
